We’d like to thank the volunteers, the Ketchum Ranger District, and Sun Valley Trekking for a great weekend of trail work up near Fox Peak. We spent the weekend based out of Tornak Hut and had two full and highly productive days of digging on what will be a beautiful new reroute when completed.

Thank you so much to WRBC volunteers – Todd Byle, Dave Wheelock, Greg Martin, Chip Deffe, and Brian Harvey as well as Ketchum Ranger District crew -Blake Everson, Nick London, Renee Catherin, and Gusty.
Getting in to the work site was a slow task and left shorter hours for actually doing trail work. Still, in 72 “man hours” of trail building, we were able to complete @ 1,600 ft. of new trail construction. That’s over 22 ft. per hour, per person. Not to brag, but we pretty much crushed that!

The first part of the reroute will hopefully be completed and opened later this week. Depending on the weather over the summer, we will try to schedule additional work days out there later in the summer. Stay tuned!
