Exploring the Sawtooths

Trailink.org partner, Idaho River Publications, is releasing a new guidebook for the Sawtooth region of Idaho. Exploring the Sawtooths is the next edition of what have become the definitive series of guide books for the central Idaho region from Matt Liedecker and Idaho River Publications.  This book should be in every backpack that is carried into central Idaho’s most celebrated mountain range.  Exploring the Sawtooths contains detailed information about lakes, trails, peaks, and other items of interest as you would expect.  However, it also comes with enough supplemental information about everything from land use to geology to climbing history and wildflower identification to provide great reading material throughout your trip.  There’s even a helpful video tutorial about the book at http://www.tinyurl.com/sawtooths

Once again Idaho River Publications has generated a beautiful and comprehensive source of information about another of Idaho’s beautiful treasures.  As with their previous publications, Exploring the Sawtooths will enhance your experience of the area.  So if you want to get the most out of your next trip into the Sawtooths, be sure to pick up a copy before you go.  The book is available at bookstores and outdoor shops in Ketchum, Stanley, and Boise or online at http://www.exploringsunvalley.com/bookstore.html
